BIOGRAPHY
Nirajan, better known as Ninja, is a Nepalese DJ and electronic music producer. After years of making a living as a businessman, Ninja’s move to China in 2017 was the catalyst for his musical career. His business stay in China also accommodated his passion for the electronic music after witnessing amusing Chinese techno scenes which took him off for some technical and musical tutorials with French artist based in China. Ninja started his musical journey with 3 cities tour in China! His initial styles were minimal techno, Berlin techno and dark progressive psytrance. His comeback to homeland for good paved ways for more self organised electronic gatherings following deep house styles.
It wasn't until his attendance to Arjun Vagale’s set in Nepal that he was inspired to spin industrial and raw techno, after seeing crowds open to dancing to new and unfamiliar tracks. Ninja was inclined to this genre being a metal head since the childhood inspired by his elder brother who belonged to a renowned metal band in Nepal. He then started digging through industrial, acid and raw techno which ended up featuring him in his first techno gig “Raw Techno” in 2019 in Nepal before the Covid invaded. The crowd response and his self contentment was the answer to everything which led him to music production during the lockdowns.
Ninja’s breakthrough year proved to be 2023 after he made a comeback post his car accident with a bed rest for 1.5 years! His electronic music event label “Rare Form” took heights along with his artist and event management venture “Dark Invasion” which curates techno gigs along with national and international artists regularly in Nepal! His music production improvised with time with really crisp distortion, jagged soundwaves, heavy industrial-tinged techno sounds, shearing textures and banging dance floor tunes and are now streaming on all available musical platforms. His music has been supported by artists like 999999999, Stan Christ , Nico Moreno, Dyen Music, Charlie Sparks, Cadzow, Sikoti, 753, Pet Duo, Jayron Techno, Bollmann, Basswell
Ninja is now associated with Italy based record label “Industrial Techno United”. He has performed along with international faces such as Ana Lilia, Jitter Vision, Golden Ratio Live, Bahar Music, Secret Cinema, Kasat Ka.
His self-taught character and unwavering defense of musical quality have paved the way for a long-haul career that has made him one of the most acclaimed DJs and artists in the country.
